Batana oil (elaeis oleifera) is extracted from the nuts of the American oil palm tree which grows in the rainforest of Honduras. Batana helps hair look and feel healthy and strong. It has been used for centuries to maintain healthy skin as it leaves skin feeling soft and nourished as well as helping to improve the appearance of dry skin. Batana oil is mainly produced by the indigenous people of La Moskitia, Honduras, known as the Miskitos. The Miskitos have produced this oil for generations using a traditional extraction process. The oil is extracted manually without the use of any toxic chemicals. This is done to preserve the nutrients of the oil.
